Savor the Flavors

Advieh

Advieh

Advieh is a versatile Persian spice blend (rose petals) used to add aromatic depth to rice dishes, stews, grilled meats, and root vegetables. It is commonly used in Loobia Polo (green bean rice), Adas Polo (lentil rice), stews (Khoresh), lamb meatballs, chicken dishes, and even in sweets like gingerbread donuts.

Savoury

  •  The most common use is in steamed rice or mixed rice dishes like Adas Polo (lentil and raisin rice), Kalam Polo (cabbage rice), and Zereshk Polo (barberry rice).
  • Stir into Khoresh Gheymeh (split pea stew) or chicken stew with peaches (Khoresh-e hulu) for a warm, aromatic flavor.
  • Ideal for seasoning grilled chicken, lamb, or incorporated into ground meat mixtures for kebabs and meatballs.
  • Enhance sautéed aubergine, roasted root vegetables, lentils, and bean-based soups.

Chorizo

Advieh

A chorizo spice blend is a versatile, smoky seasoning that can be used to add bold Spanish or Mexican flavour to a wide variety of dishes, without using real chorizo sausage.

  • Sprinkle onto ground meat during cooking to create instant chorizo-spiced filling.
  • Mix with rice, beans, and meat to fill peppers for a smoky, spiced meal.
  • Mix directly into beef patties for a "chorizo burger" with a kick.
  • Rub onto cod, hake, or prawns before grilling or baking to create a savory crust.
  •  Use in place of paprika to bring out that authentic smoky colour in paella.

  • Use in a warm cheese dip with cream cheese or feta.
  • Sprinkle on potatoes, cauliflower, carrots, or broccoli before roasting.

  • Stir into porridge (oatmeal), pancake batter, or yogurt.

Jerk

Coffee

Jerk spice blend is a versatile Caribbean seasoning used primarily to marinade chicken and pork, but it works well on fish (salmon, snapper), shrimp, tofu, and roasted vegetables like cauliflower and corn. It acts as a spicy, smoky dry rub or wet marinade for grilling, roasting, and smoking foods.

Savoury

  • Grilled salmon, snapper, or shrimp, particularly when mixed with olive oil.

  • Add a teaspoon to rice and beans or a mango salsa to complement the main dish.
  • Mix with oil, soy sauce, lime juice, and vinegar for a deep marinade.

Turkish

Turkish
